Iran and Russia will widen economic cooperation

Thursday, Moscow, Iran’s Ambassador in Russia Mr. Mehdi Sanaei and Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Pankin discussed the issues of economic cooperation of Tehran and Moscow at bilateral and regional levels.

As Russian customs statistics shows, the turnover of commodities between Russia and Iran in the first half of 2018 grew by 28,3 % up to 945.181 m USD, IRNA reports.

In the first half of 2018 Iran took the 47th position in the list of countries having commercial relations with Russia, however this position cannot be considered adequate as the real range of international cooperation between two countries incl. security and political issues is much wider.

Over the last five years Mr. Sanaei has made every effort to enhance the economic relations and change the situation for the better.

Now it is the private sector and businessmen of two countries who use the possibilities available and take the initiative to help their officials gain the maximum profit from the efforts.
