Medvedev appoints a new trade representative in Iran

Russian PM Dmitry Medvedev appointed Rustam Zhiganshin Russia’s trade representative in Iran instead of Andrey Luganski, reported in PM’s directive published on the official website of legal information.

‘To appoint Mr. Rustam Kh. Zhiganshin the trade representative of the Russian Federation in Iran’, the text says. The Cabinet of Ministers published a document where it is written that Mr. Luganski is relieved of his duties as the trade representative of the Russian Federation in Iran from December in view of the termination of the fixed-term service contract.

In 2015 President Putin awarded the title of “Class 3 Active State Advisor of the Russian Federation” to Mr. Zhiganshin. At that moment he held the post of the head of a department of the Central Office of the Security Council of the Russian Federation.
